The remodeling process can be a
little confusing still our clients enjoy peace of mind as we are
involved every step of the way, from the design phase until project
completion: our quotes are clear and comprehensive and we control
the quality and the time management.
For your information, below are the steps you can expect to take in
our typical remodeling project:
1 – Your first consultation: Initial Meeting & Discussion
The first meeting is basically an
introduction between you, the client & DekoFino Owner. The meeting
will cover the scope of work which you are looking to complete in
your home. This includes all types of work and trades which need to
be involved in your particular renovation project and determine the
viability of your budgetary expectations.
We will go over three crucial points:
Wants & Needs:
You will first share either the issues
you dislike about your space or a vision of your dream space, the
“things” that are not functional, those you wish you had, and those
you would not want to give up.
Tear out some magazines pictures,
visit those new sites giving inspirational ideas, a favorite color
sample… anything you desire; this is how we will start identifying
and analyzing your needs, goals and your design preferences in
regards to fixtures, color palettes, interior finishes, and building
materials.
Assessing the
existing environment:
We will take measurements and
investigate the job site conditions.
Budget:
The cost of remodeling a kitchen
or bathroom, creating an outdoor escape often causes anxiety. A
remodel is a complex project involving an extensive list of
variables therefore no one can produce an accurate estimate without
seeing the actual project site and looking at your wish list.
Truthfully sharing your budget during this first meeting is the best
way to get started. Prices tremendously vary depending the scope of
the work, the amenities, authentic materials or imported
look-alikes, appliances, brand names or private designer labels,
plumbing fixtures, electrical, etc...
Knowing
the budget up in front will set a realistic guideline: it is the key
factor in evaluating the project feasibility and assessing the
resources and limitations. More importantly, the budget will not
only determine the selection, it might either allow more amenities
or require us to be more creative in finding other alternatives as
we will work to your budget. Schedule your

Our Remodeling & Renovations Process:
PEACE OF MIND
1 - If in range,
we will set up an appointment
to come back with a created design, brochures, samples and a
proposal based on the scope of work.

- Upon receipt of initial signed proposal: Pre-contract
We will
discuss the project in details: examine any new design and layout
changes, including perspectives and floor plan, re-check of
measurements, discuss any special needs or concerns, verify all
material selections and styles, plans for recommended cabinet work,
interior built-ins and other interior decorative details etc.,
discuss time frames and expectations, review the project estimate
for all work.

- Contract – Agreement:
The Final contract is issued:
the
complete specifications are written
out including: start and
completion date, materials to be used,
selections made, the specific items you might want to purchase on
your own, lead time for some necessary special orders, with total
amount and progress payment schedules, everything will be clearly
mentioned.
Upon acceptance and signature of the contract,
a necessary deposit - credited towards the total cost of the
contract - is requested in order to begin the work.

- Start of Work:
“One project at a time”; we commit

- Final Completion: The final payment is due upon completion of the project.
